This Giving Tuesday, help creativity flourish at Winnifred Stewart. Through accessible art opportunities in our homes, we ensure every individual has the voice to express themselves, the choice to explore their own creativity, and a place where art is accessible to all and everyone can truly belong. 

We are proud to celebrate Carmela Spadafora for her remarkable work improving accessibility at the University of Alberta. After experiencing challenges navigating campus using DATS, Carmela led a working group and survey to identify key issues, then collaborated with University staff to implement improvements across more than 50 stops.

Her initiative demonstrates how community-led action can drive real change, making campus more inclusive and showing that people with diverse abilities can lead, innovate, and create meaningful impact.
