This GivingTuesday, we’re proud to showcase the remarkable creativity of the individuals who live in our homes at Winnifred Stewart. From vibrant paintings to imaginative crafts, their artwork reflects the heart of who they are: talented, resilient, and full of possibility.
At Winnifred Stewart, we believe creativity belongs to everyone. That’s why we challenge the status quo by meeting people exactly where they are, understanding their needs, supporting their unique abilities, and helping them thrive through self-expression.
By making our programs accessible for all, we break down the barriers that often prevent individuals living in our homes from participating in arts-based activities.
Why Art Matters for the Individuals We Support
Art fosters independence, confidence, and connection. It gives individuals a platform to share their stories in ways that words sometimes can’t.
With your help, we can continue expanding access to art directly in our homes by providing:
Specialized and adaptive art supplies and materials
Opportunities to develop coping skills that support navigating challenges and emotional regulation
Projects that improve and maintain cognitive skills through step-by-step instruction (such as paint-by-numbers and guided painting)
Workshops and activities that nurture creativity and self-expression
Inclusive spaces where individuals feel proud, supported, and celebrated
