The Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield, in partnership with Winnifred Stewart Foundation, is proud to present the 20th Annual Fork It Over Gala- "Back To Our Roots!" All proceed of this must attend event go towards supporting the diverse needs of Brightview families, and making a house a "home" for people with diverse abilities.

Our Causes
When people with diverse abilities connect with Winnifred Stewart Association (WSA) they experience opportunities that inspire dreams and empower them to be the people they want to be. WSA provides a unique approach to personalized support that assists individuals with diverse abilities to lead fulfilling lives and become integral members of the community.
Today, WSA carries on the legacy started by Mrs. Winnifred Stewart, working with adults with diverse abilities with the spirit of this remarkable woman living on throughout the organization. Over the years, there have been numerous changes and today, close to 200 people participate in WSA’s Home Services, Community Opportunities and Employment Program, through the Joey Moss Memorial Fund. Those served are all adults with diverse abilities, and the goal is to support them as they strive to live satisfying, meaningful lives.
Brightview School is an Edmonton Public School serving the Canora community in North Jasper Place. Our school offers full-day Kindergarten, regular grade 1-6 programming, and four classrooms that provide specific programming and supports for students with special needs. On the EPSB High Social Vulnerability Index, Brightview School ranks at number 7 (out of 209 schools) as one of the most socially vulnerable schools in the city. Regardless, our school community continues to be filled with kind, generous, and hardworking students and families who do their very best to successful. Brightview School is a great place to be!
To promote lifelong learning, literacy is the foundation of our all our work at Brightview School. Our goal is to provide a literacy-enriched environment where each student receives targeted instruction in reading and writing. This approach ensures that students show growth in all areas of the curriculum and develop skills that will carry them forward through their time at Brightview School and beyond!

Meet Gery Schubert! You need the man of a thousand voices, a hundred faces and at least 12 wigs. A man with unending ideas and possibilities. You need Gery Schubert - professional actor, comedian, teacher, speaker and performer. Gery’s 15 years of performing and teaching, and a lifetime of creative ideas, is sure to find some way of getting your message across.
The characters, themes, ideas are endless - it’s whatever you and Gery can create together. Or, perhaps, just a half hour to an hour set comedy performance is what you are looking for. If fun, heart-warming, inspirational, team building, spirit building entertainment is what you want, Gery is just the ticket. Gery has performed on film, TV, radio, stage, and for numerous corporations, conferences, churches, and schools from across Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. His performances have ranged from Disney’s “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” to regular comic engagements at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
