Day Services

Kim discovered his love for music and his ability as an artist through Day Services at Winnifred Stewart Association; the program encourages individuals to discover and pursue activities that are meaningful to them. A fundamental part of Winnifred Stewart Association, Day Services is a community and facility-based program where individuals are supported to pursue their recreational interests and enclave opportunities on a full or part-time basis. This program is available Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 4:00pm.

Based on requests from individuals, instructors in the community are sought to introduce and teach different skills. Individuals have enjoyed music therapy, reading clubs, baking, cooking classes, scrapbooking, arts and crafts, computers, and various modes of physical activity, including learning yoga.

Through the assistance of Day Services, individuals take full advantage of events in their community, including festivals, tradeshows, sporting events, arts and crafts classes and shows, gymnastics, museums, bingo, and much more.

The Day Services team continues to play an important role in discovering interesting opportunities and unique experiences that enable participants to discover or match their talents, interests, hobbies, and their ideal places to participate in the community.
