The Winnifred Stewart Association's Residential Services offers a supported independent living option through the Mayfield Rotary Apartments.  The apartment building is located in west central Edmonton, on regular bus service routes and has furnished and unfurnished bachelor and one-bedroom suites.  A coin laundry is available and there is a convenience store located across the street.  Westmount Centre is within walking range and Kingsway Garden Mall is a short bus ride away.

Individuals accessing this service:

• have expressed a desire to live independently in the community
• require minimal to moderate supports in daily living
• are willing and desire to learn new skills in order to live independently
• are able to self-administer medications or take part in a self-administration training program
• do not require an accessible environment
• desire a smoke-free and pet-free environment
• have stable health (physical and mental)

Staff provide supports as required and contracted by the tenants.  An on-site caretaker is available for emergent needs in the evenings and weekends.  Supports may include training and/or assistance with:

• daily living (cleaning, laundry, cooking)
• banking
• arranging transportation (ie: book DATS or bus training)
• health maintenance
• access to community services and recreation
