Innovative fund raising has had great impact on the Winnifred Stewart Association's programs and services. Revenue from fund raising programs enables the Association to complete special projects such as the assisted living homes, and to purchase specialized equipment. Without the support of the community, the Association would not be able to maintain its services without sacrificing the "extras" that make our services unique.
Recycle and Garbage Bag Sales Program: Phone sales of recycle and garbage bags, Christmas wrap and products made by clients in the Day Services- Work Opportunities program. To order bags, call 780-451-5142 or print off fax order form (PDF).
Beverage Container Recycling Program: Collection service of empty beverage containers. A collection bin with liners is provided free of charge to businesses and residences. Once the container is full, or on a designated collection day, the containers will be collected by a Recycle Enterprises employee. A charitable tax receipt of $10 is provided for each full bin. Donations: Donations can be made at any time by calling 780-451-5142 and will be issued a charitable tax receipt. Unless otherwise directed, all donations are placed in the general account for priority projects. Donations using a credit card can be made by calling 780-453-6707. Cheques can be mailed to 11130 131 Street, Edmonton, AB T5M 1C1. Please make cheques payable to the Winnifred Stewart Foundation.
